SPOILER-FREE MOVIE REVIEW
Captain America: Civil War

The Good:
+ Awesome fight sequences
+ Nice to see Bucky involved in the humour
+ REAL acting by Chris Evans and RDJ
+ THAT final fight
+ Ant-Man, Spider-Man, and Hawkeye

The Bad:
- The underwhelming ending
- Villain's weak motive and just one plot hole
- A lot had been shown in the trailers

The Breakdown:

Ok let's jump straight to the point. This is the best Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movie so far!

A big gripe I have with MCU movies, and particularly Iron Man, is that Robert Downey Jr. (RDJ) hardly had to put in any effort to act and he is simply being himself in MCU most of the time! But it is totally different this time around, with him having to revisit the past and having to deal with a crisis in his personal life while handling this civil war. On an unrelated note, watch Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and Tropic Thunder to see RDJ in some real good acting :)

Maybe it's the fanboy in me talking but Chris Evans is as awesome as usual in this film.

I think the best part about this movie is the unspoken and undisplayed bromance between Tony Stark and Steve Rogers, and Steve Rogers and James "Bucky" Barnes. The subtlety of it would resonate with many guys watching it.

Besides RDJ and Chris Evans, there were a few other notable actors/actresses who really got to act. And I think that's where the Russo bros stand out against Joss Whedon. Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch; Wanda Maximoff), Paul Bettany (Vision), and especially Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye; Clint Barton), though did not have a lot of screentime, showed a new side of their characters never seen. Sebastian Stan (Winter Soldier; Bucky) is awesome too, but he was already awesome in the two previous Captain America movies.

For the sake of "objectivity", which is a total myth to me (from the time I was studying Communication), I shall mention the shortcomings of this movie too.

The most glaring part is that you would realise that almost all of the fight scenes in the movie has been shown in the trailers already, leaving little room for anticipation. BUT there were still many surprises from *hint hint* Spider-Man and Ant-Man.

The movie was full-steam ahead right from the beginning, but towards the end, it was kinda underwhelming to realise that the villain's (played by Daniel Bruhl) motives seems pretty weak.

The ending was pretty abrupt too, but as all intelligent audiences would know, this movie is just a small portion in the much larger picture of the future of MCU.

Should you watch it?
1 = I can come up with a hundred different activities for you to better spend your time
2 = If you can spare the time
3 = Yes you should
4 = Yes you should, even if it means having to go hungry for a day
5 = Yes you should because you don't want your friends, family and future grandchildren to know that you were one of the few losers who didn't catch it

I'd give it a solid 5!

Remember, if you want more than what watching the movie can offer, do not hesitate to look at the collectibles Marvelous Toys' has!
