The base of this iconic statue alone has many details, giving fans the feeling that Io has truly come out of the dark world. Clear parts have been utilized to give the blood on the base a realistic touch. The base itself has been expertly sculpted to replicate fields from the game. Io can be seen leaning up against the protagonist’s sword, which is full of lifelike detail.
The seemingly realistic wear with the black rust makes this sword look as if it were truly made of metal. The parts unaffected by rust seem to gleam like a real blade, reflecting their surroundings while subtly changing in appearance based on the angle the parts are viewed at, which makes the beauty of this piece a must-see. Io herself can be seen waiting for the protagonist’s return in this dark and harsh world. Her eyes look far off into the distance, with her fleetingly beautiful expression showing her mind is full of thoughts of the protagonist.
The sculpt of her face, the detailed body jewelry that adorns her, the slight transparency in her coloring–every aspect of this figure captures the essence of this gorgeous character. Just like the base and sword, her bandages and the details of her arms and legs have been faithfully recreated, with the sculpt reflecting the expression of movement in her toes and details on the back of her hands to create a finish that seems completely life-like.
